French cuisine had influenced the world over the years with its many cooking traditions and practices. So, when it comes to desserts, French pastries are a tradition.
This is a 1 day class specially designed to teach you hands-on under the guidance of a dedicated pastry chef instructor. In this class, you will learn how to make the following:-
- Almond sponge
- Coffee butter cream
- Chocolate glaze
- Pastry cream
- Tart Shell
First, the fabulous French Opera Cake. This cake represents a taste of France at its most sophisticated and delicious. It is made with layers of almond sponge cake soaked in coffee syrup, layered with ganache and coffee buttercream, and covered in a luscious chocolate glaze.
Next is Choux Pastry – Cream Puff and Eclairs. You will learn to make the Choux Pastry and then pipe out some beautifully delicate cream puffs and eclairs. Some great fillings will make these treats irresistible….
Do not be intimidated by these little pillow of yumminess!
Lastly, the Banana Tart, an easy and delicious dessert. You will learn to make your own tart shells with the best tart recipe. Then, top these bite-size mini tarts with bananas, the nation’s favorite raw snack.
NOTE1: This cooking/baking class is for Adults only. Participants are NOT allowed to bring children to the class.
NOTE2: Students are required to bring their At 19 Culinary Studio RED Apron. (This item is available for sale should students wish to purchase them).
